タジキスタンの定番ロードトリップであるこのルートは、ペンジケントからゼラフシャン渓谷をたどり、ファン山脈周辺の高地へと向かいます。そこでは、ターコイズブルーの湖、石灰岩の壁、アプリコットの果樹園が道沿いに広がります。荒れた道ではありますが見応えのあるドライブ、アルプスの展望地、トレイルヘッドや村のゲストハウスへのアクセスのしやすさが魅力です。

バザールの活気があるシルクロードの街で、山へのアクセスも簡単。ファン方面の道を始める実用的な起点です。

- Ayni
道路が山へと狭まっていく谷あいの小さな町。給油、休憩、軽食の調達に良い場所です。
- Zeravshan Valley
