白い大理石と黄金の像で知られる世界でもっとも非現実的な首都アシガバートから、カラクム砂漠を北へ進み、ダルヴァザのガス・クレーター（地獄の門）へ。1971年にソ連の掘削隊が点火した69メートルの燃える穴は、今もなお炎を上げ続け、その後はウズベキスタン国境のダショグズへ向かう。地球上でもっとも驚異的なドライブのひとつ。

- Ashgabat
