マールボロ・サウンズのフェリーターミナル。クイーン・シャーロット・サウンドに沿って南へ続く曲がりくねった道は、SH1が海沿いに出る前の絶好のウォームアップです。
- Blenheim
マールボロワイン産地の中心地。ニュージーランド最高のソーヴィニヨン・ブランは、日当たりの良い小石混じりのワイラウ・バレーで育ちます。
- Ohau Point Seal Colony
何百頭ものニュージーランドオットセイが、道路からわずか数メートルの場所で岩場に上がって休みます。子どもたちは駐車場の上にある滝つきの岩の水たまりで泳ぎを覚えます。
