ジョージアの凝縮された傑作。古都トビリシから、ムツヘタの生きた博物館のような修道院群を抜け、北へはジョージア軍用道路をダリアリ渓谷を通ってカズベギ高原へ（標高2,170mの岬の上で雲の上に浮かぶゲルゲティ・トリニティ教会、その背後には標高5,047mのカズベク山の円錐形の峰）、さらに東へはアラザニ渓谷のぶどう畑を通って中世のワインの町シグナギへ。ワイン、キリスト教、そしてジョージア多声音楽の発祥地。

- Tbilisi

旅行アドバイス
グダウリ以遠のジョージア軍用道路は標高2,379mに達し、雪崩による通行止めや急な天候変化の影響を受けます。出発前にジュワリ峠で道路状況を確認してください。ウシュグリのような村へ向かう脇道は、路面の荒い未舗装路で、十分な最低地上高を備えたSUVが必要です。カズベギ以遠ではATMが少ないため、現金を持参してください。
