Tierra del Fuego and Ushuaia Loop

Argentina

Distance
240 km
Duration
2-3 days
Best Season
December to March
ModerateScenic

This southernmost Argentina loop traces the paved and gravel roads around Ushuaia, the Beagle Channel, and Tierra del Fuego National Park, with alpine bays, peat bogs, lenga forests, and big-open steppe. It’s a compact road trip with classic end-of-the-world scenery and frequent wildlife stops.

Practical notes
Fuel and services are limited outside Ushuaia and Río Grande, so start with a full tank and carry extra water and snacks. Weather changes fast year-round, and windy gravel side roads can become slow after rain or snow.
