يربط هذا الطريق البري الكاريبي بين الواجهة البحرية الهادئة في سانتا مارتا والمرتفعات المنخفضة المغطاة بالغابة في سييرا نيفادا وساحل منتزه تايرونا الوطني الطبيعي المزيّن بأشجار النخيل. قد عبر منطقة الموز، وتوقف عند مقاهي الجبال الباردة في مينكا، ثم اختم الرحلة بخليج فيروزية ورمال بيضاء ورؤوس جرانيتية درامية.
