Lycian Coast
Türkiye
A focused Turkish Riviera drive from Antalya to Fethiye, following the old Lycian shore through Roman harbors, cliff tombs, pine-backed coves, and turquoise water. It turns the broad Turkey loop into a slower coastal route built for travelers who want ruins, beaches, and dramatic Mediterranean roads in one compact trip.

- Antalya Kaleiçi
Begin inside Antalya's old harbor quarter, where Ottoman lanes, Roman walls, and sea cliffs make an atmospheric launch point.
- Phaselis
Walk Roman streets between three small harbors shaded by pine forest. The mix of ruins and swimmable coves sets the tone for the coast.
- Olympos and Çıralı
Ancient stones hide in a river valley behind a long beach. Nearby Çıralı keeps the overnight pace quieter than the resort towns.
- Myra
Lycian rock tombs stare down over a Roman theatre near Demre. It is one of the route's clearest links between landscape and ancient history.
- Kekova
Take a boat to see the sunken city, island coves, and clear water around Simena. It is a natural pause between Demre and Kas.
- Kaş
A harbor town with whitewashed lanes, dive boats, and sunset terraces. It is the best base for a slower Lycian Coast day.
- Kaputaş Beach
A steep staircase drops to one of Turkey's most vivid blue coves. Stop early before the small roadside pullouts fill up.
- Patara
Long dunes, a wide beach, and the ruins of an important Lycian city create a rare mix of archaeology and open coast.
- Fethiye and Ölüdeniz
Finish around Fethiye's harbor and the blue lagoon at Ölüdeniz. Paragliders above Babadağ make the final coastline feel theatrical.

Travel advisory
The D400 is paved and scenic, but it twists tightly above the sea between Antalya, Kas, and Fethiye. Summer heat, beach traffic, and limited parking in old towns can slow the route, so start early and avoid night driving on unfamiliar coastal bends.
