この周遊ルートはソフィアとブルガリアの壮大な山岳地帯を結び、リラ修道院へと登り、セブン・リラ湖エリアを巡ったあと、より静かなロドピ山地へ南下します。森の多い峠道、アルプスの展望台、伝統的な村々、そして素晴らしいロードサイドの食堂を楽しみながら、最後はプロヴディフと首都西方の山麓を経て戻ります。

- Sofia
ブルガリアの首都から出発し、そこから南西へ山に向かって登っていきます。市街地の道はすぐに森の道路と高原の空気へと変わります。
- Rila Monastery
ブルガリアで最も有名な修道院は、深い緑の谷にあります。色鮮やかなアーチと山の静けさが、定番の最初の立ち寄り先にしています。
- Sapareva Banya
この温泉町は、鉱泉と温かい泉で知られています。リラ山麓へさらに登る前の、良いリセット地点です。
- Panicishte chair lift
広い眺めと涼しい空気を求めて、リラの高地へ向かいましょう。リフトは、湖への最も行きやすい入口のひとつへとつながっています。
- Seven Rila Lakes trailhead
氷河湖や開けた稜線へのトレイルアクセスはここから始まります。標高の高いハイキングで、ルート随一の絶景が期待できます。

南への山道を走ったあとは、ブルガリアで活気ある第2の都市で締めくくりましょう。旧市街の通り、ローマ時代の遺跡、カフェがちょうどよい終点になります。

See the clay hoodoos and eroded pillars just off the road near Rila. The short walk is a good low-effort scenic break.

Explore one of the best-known caves in the Rhodopes with dramatic chambers and formations. It is an easy pair with the nearby gorge scenery.

Stroll stone lanes and timbered houses in one of Bulgaria's most preserved mountain villages. The architecture and calm streets are the main attraction.
