ジョグジャカルタからバニュワンギへ向かう、ジャワ島を東へ横断する定番ルートで、島でも最も劇的な火山地帯をつないでいきます。ジャワの文化的中心地をたどり、その後はブロモ山、イジェン、そして霧に包まれた東ジャワの高地へ。クレーターの絶景、水田の段々畑、火山の村々が道中ずっと続きます。

- Yogyakarta
ジャワの文化の中心地から旅を始めましょう。王宮の小道、バティックの通り、にぎやかな屋台が旅の雰囲気を作ってくれます。ここを東への火山登山の出発点にしましょう。
- Prambanan Temple
街の外に広がる平らな水田の上に、そびえ立つヒンドゥー教の尖塔群を眺めましょう。ジャワでも特に印象的な寺院群のひとつで、定番の最初の立ち寄り先です。
- Madiun
東ジャワ内陸での実用的な宿泊地点で、アクセスがよく、旅行サービスもシンプルです。山へ向かう前に、ここで旅のペースを少し落とせます。
- Mount Bromo
火山性の砂の海へ登り、日の出に煙を上げる円錐丘とテンゲル・カルデラを望みましょう。景色は荒々しく、無骨で、まるで別世界のようです。
- Probolinggo
ブロモへの玄関口の町で、道路沿いのサービスが充実し、東ジャワらしい活気があります。さらに東へ進む前のリセット地点としても便利です。
- Bondowoso
この高原の町は、コーヒーの産地とイジェン火山帯の間にあります。涼しい空気と山の景観が、行程の拠点としてぴったりです。
- Paltuding Ijen Trailhead
イジェンの火口縁へのトレイルヘッド、そして硫黄湖の眺めへ到達しましょう。最高の光と快適な気温を狙うなら、早朝の出発がおすすめです。
- Ijen Crater
インドネシアで最も有名な火山のひとつで締めくくりましょう。ターコイズブルーの水面と鋭い火口壁が、ドラマチックなフィナーレを演出します。次の行程へ進むバニュワンギはすぐ先にあります。

Explore Java's dry savanna landscape with wildlife and wide open views. It makes a scenic side trip near the far eastern end of the route.

See a huge curtain waterfall dropping into a lush canyon. It is a dramatic detour if you have extra time on the eastbound drive.
