الطرق الرئيسية بين طشقند وسمرقند وبخارى وخيوة معبدة وواضحة، لكن الحركة قد تكون بطيئة قرب المدن وتكثر أعمال الطرق. حر الصيف شديد، لذا احمل ماءً وتجنب القيادة الطويلة وقت الظهيرة؛ وقد يؤثر ضباب الشتاء وتساقط الثلوج أحيانًا على العبور الجبلي إلى شخرسبز. يتوافر الوقود عادة في المدن الكبيرة، لكن من الأفضل تعبئة الخزان قبل مغادرتها.
