الجانب الجنوب أفريقي مسار صخري غير مُصان ويتطلب دائمًا دفعًا رباعيًّا منخفض المدى. تُغلق المعابر الحدودية في ليسوتو عند الساعة 18:00، لذا خطط للوصول بعناية. يصبح الطريق شديد الخطورة عندما يكون مبتلًا أو متجمدًا، ولا ينبغي تجربته في ضعف الرؤية.
