الطريق معبّد بالكامل ومناسب لأي مركبة، لكنه ضيق ومتعرج وتُطبَّق عليه السرعات بصرامة. توقّع الضباب والجليد وإغلاقات متقطعة في الشتاء وبعد العواصف، مع محدودية الوقود والخدمات مباشرة على المسار، لذا خطط للتزوّد في البلدات القريبة قبل المقاطع الطويلة.
