يربط هذا المسار المرتفع بين أبها والقمم الباردة، والقرى الحجرية، والمنحدرات المدرّجة في جبال عسير. توقّع نزولات متعرجة، وذرى مغطاة بأشجار العرعر، ونقاط مشاهدة بانورامية، وأسواق فاكهة على جانب الطريق، مع أفضل استمتاع به كقيادة جبلية هادئة لمدة يومين إلى ثلاثة أيام.
ملاحظات عملية
قد تكون الطرق الجبلية ضبابية ومبتلة، خاصةً في بعد الظهر الشتوية، لذا قد بحذر وتجنب القيادة ليلًا على المقاطع شديدة الانحدار. تتوافر الوقود في المدن الرئيسية، لكن بنية الشحن ما تزال محدودة خارج أبها والمراكز الأكبر.
